Is It the Same Telmo Hurtado?
SUB-LIEUTENANT TELMO HURTADO HURTADO, ACCOMARCA — MAJOR RICARDO HURTADO HURTADO, EL MILAGRO. It would be too serious: Telmo Hurtado, unlike those who later followed his example (Martin Rivas and company), never tried to conceal what he did, nor his feelings about it. He defiantly claimed responsibility for the Accomarca massacre in 1985 and even explained why, in his view, even the children had to be "eliminated."
