INSENSITIVE APRISTA GOVERNMENT ONCE AGAIN MOCKS THE VICTIMS OF POLITICAL VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY
We regret that, rather than convening us to discuss and approve reparations proposals within the body responsible for reparations guidelines and policies — namely the CMAN — the decision must be taken to implement reparations through a Technical Report and a Ministerial Resolution, ignoring the demands that since the beginning of this government the national organizations of affected persons have been making, and also contradicting what is stated in the Reparations Law and its Regulations: Art. 7 letter e) regarding participation: "which implies recognition of the right and participation of the population in decision-making and definitions of their own processes of social, cultural, economic, and material construction and reconstruction THROUGH A PROCESS OF DIALOGUE AND CONSULTATION that presupposes incorporating and developing the suggestions of the population involved."
