The CMAN and Reparations: Where Are We?
Reparations are closely linked to the Registro Único de Víctimas (RUV). In recent times, the disagreements that existed until last year with the Consejo de Reparaciones (CR) have been overcome, leading to better coordination and complementarity where each party recognizes its specified function. This development — perhaps motivated by the electoral situation — may help advance the reparations process for victims. "This year there is quite close coordination with the CR. The goal is to complete the data collection for the RUV, especially at the rural level," said the executive secretary of the CMAN in an interview.
