Opaque Eyes: the victim in the photographic account of Peru's Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación. Reflections on photography and its role in reconstructing the visual memory of the years of political violence experienced in Peru. The Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR), the body charged with investigating crimes committed during that period, decided to present as an annex to its Final Report 102 photographs under the title Yuyanapaq: Para Recordar.
