Peru in the Eye of the Storm
The following 41 documents represent the most revealing and substantive declassified documents on human rights in Peru that the National Security Archive has already obtained through the Freedom of Information Act. Their dates range from February 1983 to April 1994, recording a progression of events across three Peruvian regimes while highlighting key human rights violations committed by government security forces and Peruvian insurgents. The documents were declassified in response to requests filed under the Freedom of Information Act by Lynda Davis and Tamara Feinstein of the NSA staff.
