25 Years Later, No Punishment for the Perpetrators of the Accomarca Massacre
Today, while Cirila, Justa, and Teófila — three survivors of the Accomarca massacre — remind members of Congress — especially those from Apra — that 25 years have passed since three Army patrols cold-bloodedly murdered 69 children, women, and elderly people, the nearly 500 people living in that Ayacucho district will descend to the Lloccllapampa ravine to light candles, pray in Quechua, and ask for the souls of their loved ones.
