Legislative Decree No. 1097
The President of the Republic, given that the Congress of the Republic, through Law No. 29548, delegated to him the authority to legislate, among other matters, regarding the enactment of procedural and penitentiary rules relating exclusively to military and police personnel who have been prosecuted or convicted for crimes involving human rights violations, has issued this Legislative Decree, whose first supplementary provision establishes that the Convention on the Non-Applicability of Statutory Limitations to War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity takes effect and applies to Peru as of November 9, 2003.
