Cultural Identities After Twenty Years of Political Violence in Peru (1980–2000)
Discussing cultural identities in Peru is in itself a complex topic, and even more so when one attempts to reflect on it in the context of twenty years of political violence (1980–2000). In the first section I will briefly develop some specific preliminary definitions necessary to enter the central reflection, such as: cultural identity, political violence, etc. The second section constitutes an effort to relate political violence and cultural identity, a no less complex relationship. And in the third section, the aim is to develop the main effects that this prior relationship has caused.
