AND AFTER THE CVR, WHAT? YEAR 2003
Weekly report (March–December 2003) on reactions to the CVR's final report and progress regarding its recommendations. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (CVR) delivered its Final Report to the three branches of the Peruvian State on August 28, 2003, and the following day, at a public ceremony in the city of Huamanga - Ayacucho, presented it to the civilian population. Although no one to date has been able to read the Final Report, either due to its length (9 volumes) or because it was removed from the CVR's website three days later to be corrected for errors, and although the debate around the CVR had to give way to the issue of tax reform, this first "post-delivery" week is rich in debates around the Final Report and the Commission's very existence.
