The UN, Accomplice in Forced Sterilizations

There is conclusive evidence that the United Nations collaborated in the forced sterilization of poor women in rural areas of Peru between 1995 and 1997. Peruvian parliamentarian and physician Héctor Chávez Chuchon told a subcommittee investigating the forced sterilizations: "The United Nations was aware of this policy; [UN] staff worked in the Ministry of Health"
