ALWAYS WITH COPIED IDEAS
"The Truth Commission—and now most recently the Museo de la Memoria—are examples of this behavior. Copied from foreign initiatives, both proposals have been imposed on us in the name of nobody knows what. Neither is the fruit of Peruvian thought, much less the product of a debate arising from society, from its political formations, its professional circles, its social guilds, etc. And what is more serious is that the elite forcing us to accept these imports will not tolerate any criticism of their intentions. Anything that opposes their wishes is a 'whim of the reactionary, cave-dwelling right.' What a sense of democracy they display with their fanaticism."
