The idea of building a 'parallel' museum of memory seeks justification by arguing that one cannot pay homage in the same premises to the dead terrorists and to our police officers and soldiers who fell in the struggle to pacify the country. It is the false accusation leveled against the El Ojo que Llora monument, now revived with the aim of inflaming spirits and winning over sectors intolerant of the project chaired by Mario Vargas Llosa.
