Massacre in Umasi
In the village of Racjaya, Senderistas raided and took 54 community members, whom they led to the school in Umasi. Later, Army members attacked them, killing the hostages and possibly some Senderistas. There has been no investigation whatsoever, apart from the testimony of 10 witnesses before the CVR. The names of the deceased, who were buried in a mass grave, are published here. Published on December 26, 2009.
