Ayacucho Prosecutor's Office Will Reveal How 26 Peasants Died in 1984
A military incursion into the community of Huarapite, district of Chiara in Ayacucho, on April 5, 1984, left 26 people dead. Twenty-five years later, the Segunda Fiscalía Penal Supraprovincial de Ayacucho ordered the exhumation of the remains to clarify the circumstances in which they were killed.
