Threats/Harassment of Human Rights Defenders in Peru
According to reports, on November 3, 2005, at around 4:30 p.m., an anonymous call was received at the Fundación Ecuménica para el Desarrollo y la Paz (FEDEPAZ), a member organization of the CNDDHH, in which the caller, speaking in an apparently adult voice, without identifying himself and after confirming that his call was being answered by FEDEPAZ, stated: "Tell Alejandro Silva and that Soberón to stop making statements to the media (unintelligible)... because if not they'll see" and then hung up the phone, having shown signs of nervousness.
