The Truth, Five Years Later - Opinion Column
The only thing that seems to interest the detractors of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR) is that the responsibility of members of the security forces in human rights violations during the internal war has been identified. The rest of the monumental work — in which hundreds of professionals and experts participated, where thousands of testimonies and cases were collected, many times in public hearings where victims could express the horror and suffering they experienced — means nothing to those who defame the CVR.
