Cardinal Cipriani and the CVR
Cardinal Cipriani's latest homily on the conclusions of the Truth Commission has caused such discomfort among the Ayacuchan faithful that several institutions in that department have begun collecting signatures to request from the Holy See the transfer of the Primate of the Peruvian Church. As is known, Cardinal Cipriani contradicted the Truth Commission by saying "the Ayacuchan church was indeed up to the task" during the dark days of the war against Sendero. And that is not true.
