After 25 Years, Putis Victims Will Finally Be Buried with Dignity
Under the motto "Justice and solidarity for Putis, a dignified burial," the families of the victims of the Putis massacre — which took place in Ayacucho in December 1984 — in coordination with Multisectoral Organizations of the region, have scheduled a series of activities to be held starting next week with the aim of honoring and giving a dignified burial to the victims of that brutal massacre. The activities will begin on Thursday, August 27, in the city of Huamanga, with a raising of the National Flag in the Plaza de Armas, at half-mast as a sign of mourning. Published on August 21, 2009.
