Authorities and Victims of Political Violence in Ayacucho Continue Crying Out for Justice
Today marks the sixth anniversary of the delivery of the Final Report of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR), and the bereaved families of the victims and authorities of Ayacucho — the region of the country that suffered most from the internal war that afflicted the country for twenty years — held heartfelt tributes. In every case the call was unanimous: the pursuit of justice and that the barbarism unleashed in 1980 must never be repeated. Published on August 28, 2009.
