Attorney General's Office Delivers 92 Remains of Putis Massacre Victims to Families
Amid heartbreaking scenes of grief, representatives of the Ministerio Público handed over the remains of 92 victims killed in the massacre that occurred in Putis, Ayacucho, on December 13, 1984. Twelve of the remains belonged to children between 6 and 12 years old, and only 28 of the 92 remains were identified and handed over to their families. Published August 19, 2009.
