Museum of Memory: For a Balanced Approach - Editorial
Concrete steps are gradually being taken toward the construction of the memory museum, which is positive as it shows that prejudices on both sides are being set aside to move the initiative forward. The project's driving force and president of the ad hoc commission, our acclaimed writer Mario Vargas Llosa, has confirmed that the venue for the museum has already been secured, in an underground area beneath the Campo de Marte, in Jesús María. This is important, but so too is Vargas Llosa's admonition that "the museum cannot serve as political propaganda for anyone, because then it would lose its purpose." Published July 30, 2009.
