Breasts, Potatoes, and Shrouds - Opinion Column
An ordinary guy: "I didn't understand anything. Why did she take out the potato and change so much all of a sudden? Did they throw the corpse into the sea? Why did the mistress fire her?" Aldo M, after watching "La teta asustada." Claudia Llosa has the necessary skill to tell a story, that is to say, to engage the viewer with the narrative and keep them in suspense awaiting the outcome. To achieve this she uses touches of humor, underscoring the stereotypes of provincial people in the city, which manages to keep a story moving that would otherwise remain static until the final scenes, locked in the silence and fears of Fausta.
