Relatives of La Cantuta Victims Lament Rejection of a "Museum of Memory"

Raida Cóndor, mother of one of the La Cantuta students murdered by the Colina group, maintained that the government must have "money to spare" after rejecting a 2-million-dollar donation from the German Government to build a "Museum of Memory." "I think the Government has money left over, but (this decision) does not suit them. They don't like being reminded of the atrocities committed against so many innocent people. Those are the things that President (Alan García) doesn't like to remember," she told elcomercio.com.pe. Published February 28, 2009.
