Those Disappeared by the Argentine Dictatorship

A summary of the atrocities committed by the Argentine military who were in power. During the years of the self-styled Proceso de Reorganización Nacional (1976–1983), the government formed by the military junta covertly pursued the persecution, abduction, and murder of individuals for political reasons, in the context of what is known as the Dirty War in Argentina. These practices were common to all dictatorships in Latin America under the framework of Operation Condor in South America and Operation Charlie in Central America.
