Toward Reparation and Reconciliation: Shared Responsibilities - Forum
This document is a record of the work carried out during the forum: "Hacia la reparacion y la reconciliacion: responsabilidades compartidas." It contains the presentations delivered and the analysis and conclusions drawn from the three discussion panels. The central ideas presented by the speakers, representatives of the different sectors involved in the process of reparation and reconciliation, have been summarized. We considered it appropriate to respect the diversity of opinions and points of view, as well as to record the name and affiliation of each contribution. This will give readers a sense close to reality: the multiplicity of visions, commitments, and expectations regarding a process that is beginning and that must be nourished by this diversity in order to contribute to the construction of a society of citizens without exclusion or violence of any kind. This publication is expected to contribute to the debate in the post-CVR process by making visible the diverse opinions and proposals regarding the roles that the state and civil society must assume in order to overcome exclusion, promote reparation, and advance reconciliation. (Excerpt from the foreword).
