Shadows of a Rescue. Tracking the Hidden Traces in the Japanese Ambassador's Residence
On April 23, 1997, fourteen police commissioners were summoned for a secret mission: they were to bury the bodies of the terrorists who had died the previous day during the rescue of seventy-two hostages, in one of the military operations most praised by the press worldwide. Through this intense and rigorous chronicle, which offers a reconstruction of the months of the hostage crisis, this work proposes, for the first time, to answer the central question: How did the evidence of what happened inside the residence disappear? It is an immersion into the chiaroscuros of the case, replete with confidential reports and documents never before exposed.
