The Paradoxes of Official Peru: Indigenism, Democracy and Structural Crisis

The author presents seventeen essays aimed at Peru's ruling classes in order to better interpret the country's reality. The first eight essays emphasize cultural heterogeneity and the consequences of having systematically denied it throughout Peru's republican period. In the last nine essays he revisits some arguments to project them onto the sphere of contemporary structural crisis.
