Voices of the Women of the Central Jungle. Testimonies of Indigenous Women During the Internal Armed Conflict
This effort focuses on a fundamental aspect: gathering the voices of indigenous women from the central jungle who were victims of violence between 1980 and 2000. It should be noted that while this document strictly relates to memory, this does not mean it is our only intervention; and the spaces for encounter with women outlined in it are not the only ones in which we have shared with the board of directors of the Federación de Mujeres Asháninkas, Nomatsiguengas y Kakintes de la Selva Central — FREMANK, an organization that brings together all women's organizations from the Central Jungle and whose president is a recognized national leader, known for her extensive trajectory as a human rights activist in favor of indigenous women of the Amazon, Luzmila Chiricente Mahuanca.
