Topics in Criminal Law and Human Rights Violations
This publication presents a series of articles related to the process of truth, justice, and reparation involving victims of the period of violence that occurred in Peru between 1980 and 2000. It addresses various topics related to the rights of victims of human rights violations within criminal proceedings, investigative mechanisms for such cases, and the symbolic reparations they deserve through public memorials. It also presents a detailed assessment of the process of judicial prosecution of human rights violations in Peru, and a review of the main jurisprudential contributions of the Constitutional Court of Colombia in this area. Other noteworthy contributions delve into the various characterizations of sexual and gender-based violence as crimes against humanity.
