From the Sierra to the Cities. The Urban Campaign of the Shinning Path.
This report describes the Shining Path´s urban campaing against the government of Peru. The study founded on a database assessment of war, the author´s travels in Peru, and interviews with member of the Peruvian security estabñlisment now engaged against the Shining Path. It carried as part of a larger proyect, “Andean Futures: a Comparative Political, Economic, and Security Assesment” sponsored by the Under Secretary of Defense Policy. This research conducted with Rand´s National Defense Research.
