SHINING PATH MEMBERS SURRENDER AT CASTRO CASTRO PRISON
Surrender of Shining Path members after Police entered the Miguel Castro Castro prison to carry out the operation known as "Mudanza Uno" on May 9, 1992. As a result of the police action, Shining Path leaders Hugo Deodato Juárez Cruzatt, Yovanka Pardavé Trujillo, Elvia Sanabria Pacheco, and Tito Valle Travesaño, among other inmates, were killed.
