The Programa de Acceso a la Justicia Rural - PROJUR has found it appropriate to reissue this book, which documents the process of managing this new Rondas Law and the regulatory framework that underpins its operation, with the aim of contributing to collective memory and to a better understanding of its work by other local, regional, and national actors. The text has also been updated taking into account events that have occurred over the past five years. Thus, in addition to the original content, an article on the current situation and the challenges facing the rondas campesinas is included, along with the legal norms issued during this period and a manual for the recognition of rondas campesinas.
