Conclusions and Recommendations
This publication gathers several texts from the final work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Knowledge of them is indispensable for judging the results of that body's work; for raising awareness of the catastrophe the country experienced and the deep fractures that affect it; and, ultimately, for mobilizing solidarity with its victims and the commitment to build a society with equity and justice. It includes the speech delivered by the then-president of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Dr. Salomón Lerner, at the ceremony presenting the Final Report to the President of the Republic. It also includes the Conclusions of that document and the portion of the Recommendations contained therein relating to institutional reforms.
