So as not to forget them anymore. Women and reparations in Peru

This publication, in a retrospective and critical spirit, proposes an analysis of the Comprehensive Reparations Plan recommended by the CVR from a gender perspective and its potential to provide redress to women victims. From this analysis, certain lessons learned are drawn that we hope will constitute a contribution to the reparations process in the Peruvian transition. In particular, it seeks to become a contribution so that civil society has new elements for reflection and so that the government, when designing and implementing reparations policies and measures, can explicitly incorporate the gender dimension. An important fact for reflection, as noted in this publication, is that since the Final Report of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación there is greater awareness on the part of the human rights movement and the feminist movement regarding the situation of women as direct victims of sexual violence during the internal armed conflict.
