RETABLO. LUCÍA (DETAIL)

Lucía This is a retablo inspired by a huayno by Ranulfo Fuentes, named after the composer's mother: Lucía. This retablo features floral decoration on the interior of its doors, on a white background, and at the top center a flower-shaped crown with adornments on the sides. Inside we see an Andean setting in which women are carrying out various productive tasks typical of their daily lives. They are also caring for their children and participating in festivities. Toward the right there is a mother of gigantic proportions relative to the others, representing Lucía, but also all mothers who carry out their tasks with effort and dedication. Behind her it is night; the dark sky gradually lightens toward the right, where we see a great rainbow above the mountain (apu or wamani) and the plantations.
