Ministers appear before the Permanent Commission of Congress
Three cabinet ministers appear before the Permanent Commission of Congress in January 1989. The Minister of Defense denounces media misinformation about the Compulsory Military Service Law.
The Minister of Economy Carlos Rivas Dávila, the Minister of Agriculture Juan Coronado, and the Minister of Defense General EP Enrique López Albújar Trint appeared before the Permanent Commission of the Congress. During his presentation, the Minister of Defense denounced that some journalistic media misinformed the citizens regarding the validity of the Compulsory Military Service Law. This presentation was made in the context of the economic and political crisis that the APRA government of Alan Garcia Perez was going through.
