These disappearances were part of a broader pattern of arbitrary detentions and forced disappearances carried out by law enforcement in the area. In the same place and period, Aider De la Cruz, accused of belonging to the ranks of the PCP-SL, was also executed. These actions took place as part of the police counteroffensive that significantly increased the list of dead and disappeared in the region.
