Attack on Huariaca
Forty PCP-SL militants attacked Huariaca, dynamiting public buildings (municipality, police post, ENTEL, health center), leaving a policeman wounded and looting commercial stores.
On December 27, 1988, a contingent of forty PCP-SL militants took the town of Huariaca and carried out multiple attacks against public infrastructure. The subversives dynamited the municipal council, the police post leaving one policeman wounded, the ENTEL PERU installations, the health center and the ambulance. They also looted the main stores in Huariaca, which is located in the middle of the Central Highway. It is probable that this contingent was the same that raided the district of Pallanchacra on December 13 of the same year.
