MRTA takes Puerto Inca announcing presence in Huanuco
A contingent of guerrillas took the town of Puerto Inca, causing an impact among the inhabitants because it was the first time an action of this type had occurred in the department and also because it was the announcement of the political-military presence of the MRTA in the region. This was the first action of the Eastern Front.
