Murder of Manuel Febres Flores, attorney for Osmán Morote Barrionuevo

Manuel Febres Flores, lawyer of the Shining Path leader Osmán Morote Barrionuevo, was murdered on July 28, 1988. The Rodrigo Franco Command claimed responsibility for the crime.

Manuel Febres Flores, defense lawyer of Osmán Morote Barrionuevo, leader of the PCP-SL captured on June 13, 1988, was assassinated on July 28, 1988. The so-called Rodrigo Franco Democratic Command claimed responsibility for the assassination, stating that it was a group of citizens tired of the government's incapacity, Alan Garcia Perez's demagogy and the indecision of the forces of law and order. This crime took place in the context of the capture and judicial process of Osmán Morote, who was considered the number two in the PCP-SL hierarchy.
