Witness disappearances in Cayara
Hooded men disappeared five witnesses of the massacre that they had denounced to the President.
Hooded persons (presumably military) entered the homes of residents of Cayara and forcibly detained them. Gregorio Ipurre Ramos, Guzmán Palomino Bautista, Humberto Ipurre, Benigna Palomino de Ipurre and Catalina Ramos Palomino disappeared. According to witnesses, these people had denounced to President Alan Garcia Perez the excesses perpetrated in Cceschua, which led to their disappearance. The hooded men had red rags on their faces and when relatives asked at the military installation, they were told that they were 'terrucos'.
