Anti-smuggling decrees

On June 23, 1988, four supreme decrees were approved establishing measures aimed at eradicating smuggling in Peru. This governmental action took place in the context of the economic crisis that the country was going through during the administration of Alan García Pérez.

On June 23, 1988, the Peruvian government approved four supreme decrees aimed at eradicating contraband in the country. These measures were part of the actions of the government of Alan García Pérez during a period of economic and political crisis. The decrees were issued in the context of the fight against various economic problems affecting Peru. This measure was issued a few days before the convocation of an extraordinary legislature for the President of the Council of Ministers to present his government program.
