Attack on Cuticsa

In June 1988, the Shining Path PCP attacked the town of Cuticsa in Junin, killing 11 peasants. This attack was part of a series of violent incursions in the region during that year.

In June 1988, a Shining Path PCP column attacked the village of Cuticsa in the department of Junin. During this attack, 11 peasants were killed. This attack was part of a series of violent incursions by the PCP-SL in the region during that period, which also included the attack on Puyhuán in October of the same year. These attacks occurred in the context of the national deployment of subversive violence and the growing presence of the PCP-SL in the central region of the country.
