Murder of Javier Arrasco Catpo May 31, 1988

Javier Arrasco's death occurred on May 31, 1988, when the Comité de Lucha de Comensales de Cangallo was demonstrating against the massacre of peasants in Cayara. The police irresponsibly fired their firearms during the student demonstration. After the murder, the board of comensales issued a statement protesting the police repression, which also criticized the provocative attitude of the PCP-SL.
