In May 1988, the general assembly of members approved the restructuring of SAIS Cahuide due to the economic crisis, reduction of income and internal conflicts. The final liquidation was ratified in December 1988.
In May 1988, a general assembly of members approved the "restructuring" of SAIS Cahuide, the largest peasant enterprise in the department of Junín and the entire country created by the agrarian reform. This decision came about as a result of the economic crisis that had affected the company since 1976, the drastic reduction in income since 1979, and the internal conflicts between member communities and administrative personnel over the unequal distribution of land and privileges. Subsequently, on December 29, 1988, the liquidation of the company was ratified. In January 1989, the partner communities formed multi-communal companies on the right bank of the Mantaro River.
