Murder of Andajes authorities in popular trial
Members of the PCP-SL shot and killed the authorities of Andajes after gathering them in the Plaza de Armas and submitting them to a popular trial on April 13, 1988.
A supposed column of PCP-SL members gathered the authorities of Andajes in the Plaza de Armas and subjected them to a popular trial. After this procedure, the authorities were shot to death. The event occurred in the district of Andajes, located in the province of Oyón, department of Lima. This type of "popular trial" was a practice used by the Shining Path to eliminate local authorities they considered enemies of their revolutionary cause.
