Shining Path attack against an army support group in Lachocc, Huancavelica, resulting in the death of 9 military personnel and 2 civilians on February 18, 1988.

On February 18, 1988, in the town of Lachocc, province of Huancavelica, militants of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso attacked an army support group. In the attack, 9 military personnel and 2 civilians who were part of the support group were killed. This event took place in the context of the intensification of subversive actions in the region of Huancavelica during the 1980s.
