Second arrest and disappearance at Checcasa
The Army again detained three Checcasa villagers; one of them is still missing.
A military patrol returned to Checcasa and detained Jorge Sergio Ayvar Huamaní, Magdalena Bazán Huamaní and Juan Esperanza Ayvar for the second time, forcing them to board an army truck. Jorge Ayvar Huamaní has been missing ever since, while the other two were released shortly thereafter. Family members who went to the Santa Rosa Military Base received no information on their whereabouts.
