National agricultural strike

Two-day national agrarian strike (December 1 and 2, 1987) called by the National Agrarian Unitary Council (CUNA) in the context of economic crisis and political violence in Peru.

On December 1 and 2, 1987, a national agrarian strike was called by the National Agrarian Unitary Council (CUNA). This agrarian mobilization took place in the context of a year marked by intense political violence and economic crisis, including the government's decision to devalue the national currency by an average of 50% that same month. The strike was part of the national agrarian sector protests organized through CUNA.
