On November 3, 1987, militants of the Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path (PCP-SL) raided the National University of Central Peru. During this action, the subversives appeared before students, professors and university workers to talk about the people's war. The militants invited those present to join the armed struggle to destroy the old and outdated order. This incursion was part of the agitation and armed propaganda activities that the PCP-SL had been systematically developing on the university campus since the early 1980s.
